DEPUTY COMMISSIONER GIVES TEA PARTY TO CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

Ludhiana, November 30, 2017: Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Agrawal today arranged a special tea party for the children with special needs, who excelled in games held recently at different levels.

Pertinently, Rajvir Singh has won two gold medals in special international cycling games held in Los Angle (USA). Soccer player Arshdeep Singh scored four goals against rival teams as a member of Punjab team. This national level tournament was held at Chennai recently. Rohit, Dhruv, Kamalpreet, and Jatinderpal took part in Special Olympics state games held at Patiala. Beside this, Players Jaswinder, Khushvinder, and Kamaljit Kaur performed very well in Kabaddi tournament held at village Tohra (District Patiala. All nine special players got 10 gold, 1 silver and 7 bronze medals at different levels.

During the interaction,  Agrawal appreciated the achievements of players and prayed for their bright future. He also shared struggle experiences of his life with the children. Children were seeming very happy in the company of Deputy Commissioner and Additional Deputy Commissioner (D) Surabhi Malik. Jaspreet Kaur and Mrs Swarnjit Kaur (both District Education Officers),  Rupinder Kaur District Programme Officer and other officers were also present on the occasion.

It is also pertinent to mention that total 843 children with special needs are getting an education in 87 resource rooms running in district Ludhiana.
