RAMBAN/KASHMIR, FEBRUARY 7: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, today visited Sangaldan area and inspected snow and road clearance operations at Dharamkund and other adjoining areas besides availability of essential commodities.
He also interacted with the public at various places and heard their grievances, besides passed on spot directions for redressal of public grievances.
DC directed the officers to be proactive and ensure that every basic facility is provided to the masses. He also asked the District and Sectoral officers to personally monitor the field functionaries so that the people don’t face any inconvenience.
He also requested commuters to contact traffic control rooms before embarking on journey on the national highway.
DC directed the executing agencies to station adequate men and machinery to remove landslides instantly from the national highway to avoid traffic jamming and traffic breakdowns.
CMO was directed to provide better medicare facility in health centres besides ensuring availability of medicines.
He directed all officers to stay in their headquarters and keep men and machinery are on high alert in view of the snowfall and prediction for more precipitation. He also reviewed the supply and stock position of essential items.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to ensure round-the-clock monitoring of the situation to deal with exigencies besides maintaining vigil and close coordination.
