Jalandhar,December 17,2019: Six-day Faculty Development Program on “Research Methodology & Data Analysis” at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar began today with a knowledgeable set of events on the opening day. Dr. T.S. Banipal, Dean, College Development Council, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar was the Chief Guest on this occasion. He was duly welcomed to the college by Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra, Dr. Manohar Singh (HOD Computer Science & IT) and Prof Jasreen Kaur, Dean Academic Affairs.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra highlighted the vision behind organizing this program and appreciated the contingent of faculty members attending this program. Dr Samra also appreciated the efforts put forth by Dr. Manohar Singh (FDP Convener), Dr. Baldev Singh (Coordinator) and Prof. Sandeep Singh for structuring the events. In his lecture, Chief Guest, Dr. T.S. Banipal delivered an extensive discourse on the importance and latest innovations in the field of research methodology whilst also underlining its relevance in contemporary times. He also talked about phenomenon such as clustering and temporal data along with Data Science and Data Analytics. Program Convener, Dr. Manohar Singh informed that around 70 faculty members have registered for participation in this program. During the proceedings, Dr. Daljit Kaur conducted the stage and the proceedings were keenly observed by research scholars and staff members from various departments of the college.
