Under trainee Haryana, Cadre IAS officers will participate in  India Govt Online Training (iGOT) portal.

Chandigarh, August 31, 2020:  In a bid to make training and the identification of employees for particular roles thoroughly transparent, affording each employee ample opportunity to learn, grow and serve better, all under trainee IAS officers of Haryana Cadre will be participating in the India Government Online Training (iGOT) portal.

Sharing more details about the same, an official spokesman said that the Haryana Cadre IAS officers will participate in the training programme which has recently been announced by Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie.

He said that the India Government Online Training (iGOT) portal has been developed by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India.

He said that it is envisioned that this training process will translate into greater job satisfaction for the employee and for the citizen, the end recipient of government policy and service.

The spokesman said that iGOT heralds a paradigm shift in the way governance is perceived and made effective. It marks a change from a rule-based system to a role-based system that takes an integrated view of organizations and human resource from the point of view of the roles that they must perform and the competencies that these roles entail.

He said that the umbrella of the FRAC or the Framework of Rules, Activities and Competencies shelters and enables the entire professional life cycle of a government employee from charting what they  are required to do in a particular assignment, mapping performance, assessing eligibility and direction of training, affording the opportunity to enhance skill through training.

He said that being active partners in this vision harboured by the DoPT through its National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building, the Academy, along with other Central Training Institutes, has been engaged in curating online learning modules in various subjects that will be hosted on the iGOTplatform shortly. In working towards the goal of democratizing learning opportunities for all government employees, it is envisaged that this structure will include young officer trainees too and make them active participants in skill mapping and amelioration.
