Jalandhar, October 11, 2020:  The players attending hockey coaching camp organized by Surjit Hockey Society, Jalandhar will now get daily soaked almonds as diet along with bananas from Tut Brother’s of USA.

Accordingly to Iqbal Singh Sandhu who is the honorary Secretary of the Surjit Hockey Society informed that NRI Surjit Singh Tut, Ranjit Singh Tut, Pritam
Singh Tut and Amarjit Singh Tut from Village Paragpur (Jalandhar), settled in the USA are known as Tut Brother, have decided to give one quintal almonds (Badaam) to those players who are taking part in the ongoing hockey camp here at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium, Burlton Park.
Tut Brothers are renowned sports promoters,  big farmers, transporter & developers in the USA and also the owners of the Global Kabaddi League. Tut bothers are also the biggest Farmers/Landholders amongst Punjabis in the world. These lands fall in USA ànd Belize (Central America).
According to the study conducted at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and U.S Food and Drug Administration, it is safe for a person to consume 1 ounce, which is 20–23 soaked almonds on daily basis, goes a long way in adding valuable nutrients to the daily diet, Sandhu added.

As many as 35 players in 14 & 19 years of age groups are attending this ongoing camp where expert hockey coaches namely Olympian Rajinder Singh (Daronachariya Awardee), Avtar Singh Pinka, Yadvinder Singh Joni and Rajinder Kumar Pandit are imparting training to these young players.
Accordingly to Surinder Singh Bhapa, Chief PRO of the Surjit Hockey Society, needy players are also provided complete hockey kits and by the end of this financial year, the Society has decided to distribute 100 hockey kits to upcoming and talented needy players of the Jalandhar district. Each kit includes a Carbon hockey stick, T-shirt, Shorts, Socks, Stick Bag, Shin Guard, hockey Ball, tracksuit and Kit Bag
Surinder Singh Bhapa appealed the parents to send their children to take hockey coaching free of cost and secure their future in the game of hockey.
All players attending camp thanked Tut Brothers of USA for providing one quintal Almonds & Banans and Ghanshyam Theory, Deputy Commissioner -cum- President, Surjit Hockey Society, Jalandhar for their support the upliftment of the standard of hockey in Jalandhar district.
