Chandigarh, August 28, 2018 ( By DSK.Vyas) : As part of the Induction Training Programmes for Government Functionaries at the cutting edge level, Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration, Punjab (MGSIPA) launched a 4-day programme for the staff of the Advocate General's office in MGSIPA Campus.
Fifty participants mainly clerks cum data-entry operators attended the training programme.
Inaugurating the event, Punjab Advocate General, Atual Nanda underlined the need for updating the knowledge and skills of officials through quality training programmes for strenthening the administrative system. He emphasised that the government. Functonaries must work with commitment, positive approach, right thinking and hard work to achieve excellence in their fields of duty. He complimented MGSIPA authorities for providing a useful forum to the Punjab Govt. Employees for meeting their training needs through professional and competent faculty.
Speaking on the occasion, Special Chief Secretary to the Govt. of Punjab & Director General MGSIPA Sarvesh Kaushal highlighted the importance of
training of public servants for boosting efficiency, competence and confidence of employees and giving quality service to the stakeholders. He appreciated
the initiative of the Advocate General for deputing staff of his office to the Intitute for the 4- day training Programme on various subjects.
Raji P.Shrivastava Director MGSIPA said that this 4-day training programme using a blend of methodologies viz; presentations, group disscussions and talks by subject experts has been carefully designed keeping in view the requirements of the Advocate General office. The Induction training programme schedule has 20 sessions on varied subjects like official communication and terminology, e-office and office automation, noting and drafting, financial rules, disciplinary proceedings, the Prevention of Corruption Act, court case research and management, CVC manual and overview of important tribunals, the Indian bar Council Act 1961, Fundamentals of conduct of business in Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Website Familiarization of High Court and Supreme Court and so on.
