september 16, chandigarh: The students of the Add-on Course of Video Reporting at Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, under the guidance of Assistant Professor Sukarma Verma, participated in a Short Video Inter-College Contest organised by CREST and Yuvsatta, Chandigarh Administration. The theme of the contest was ‘I love my Solar Chandigarh: Blue Chandigarh’. The contest required the entries to suggest adoption, usage and benefits of solar energy. The video of the college was well received and declared one of the best entries of the contest. CREST & Yuvsatta of Chandigarh Administration awarded the college in an event organised to commemorate Science Day. Sh. Debendra Dalai, IFS, CCF, Director Department of Environment and CEO CREST, Chandigarh Administration was the Chief Guest of the event.
Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava congratulated the winner for making the video on such a relevant topic. She added that keeping in mind the importance of green energy for a sustainable future, the college has set up solar energy system and is harnessing its benefits.
