Delhi,February 4, 2019 :The All India Bank Officers’ Confederation( AIBOC), the apex trade union organization of Bank officers’ in the country representing over 3,20,000 members organized a  “MahaMorcha” at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi today on various issues concerning the officer’s community of the entire Banking industry.
Officers of various central Government organizations and Public Sector Undertakings under the banner of All India Public Sector and Central Govt. officers’ confederation (AIPCOC) also participated in the Morcha.

The Maha Morcha originated in the form of a massive ‘ Jatha’ from Modern School, Barakhamba Road, Delhi, at 11 A.M and proceeded towards Parliament  Street (Sansad Mard) via Tolstoy Marg and finally culminated into the’Morcha’ at Jantar Mantar, Parliament street.

The rally demonstration commenced at 12.30 p.m and continued up to 4 p.m.The robust rally of not less than 15000 members was well addressed by AIBOC leadership, Hon’ble members of Parliament, leaders of fraternal organizations as weĺl as leaders of various central trade unions, academicians, social workers, representatives of Retirees’ Association and eminent citizens. The core objectives of organizing such a’ Maha  Morcha ‘ are;

1. To oppose the proposed merger of Vijaya Bank, Dena Bank, Bank of Baroda and merger of Regional Rural Banks (RRBs).
2. Opposing fractured mandate for officers, demanding decent wage revision based on the charter of demand and minimum Wages concept.
3.The scrapping of NPS and restoration of the defined pension scheme.
4. Demanding 5 day week.
5. Updating of pension and Revision of Family Pension.
6. Publication of willful corporate defaulters list.
7. Adequate recruitment in PSBs
8. Protesting attack and assault on Bankers.
9.compassionate appointment in banks.
10.Oppose unilateral reduction of retirement age of officers from 60 to 58 years
The  Member. Parliament Sanjay Singh of AAP assured to stand with the demands of the fraternity in the side and outside the Parliament.Sh.Chandrashekhar M.P also stressed to remove the anti-employee Govt. from power to realize the issues raised.  Com.Tapan Sen of CITU also assured full support to the demands raised. com.Devashish Basu Choudhary General Secretary. of Bank Employees Federation of India( BEFI) also raised the issue of defaulters and NPA recoveries which is also affecting the profitability of the banks and assured to fight unitedly for achieving the demands raised.
