Ferozepur, March 23, 2021: Pakistan-based Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation recalled the sacrifice of martyrs Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev at Shadman Chowk in Lahore, on the 90th Anniversary of the great revolutionary leaders of the Indian subcontinent.
Floral tributes, followed by candle lighting, were paid to the martyrs by Imtiaz Rasheed Qureshi, Chairman, Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation (BSMF) along with Raja Zulqarnain Advocate Former Secretary Supreme Court Jalil Ahmed Khan Othi Senior Advocate and other members.
Addressing the gathering, Qureshi said, the British rule is over. People like Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sikh Dev are born centuries later and their great sacrifices will always be remembered.
Remembering the martyrs, the Foundation passed the resolutions – first – Queen Elizabeth should also apologize for the martyrs on April 13 1919 by visiting Shadman Chowk, second – Bharat Ratna for India PM Modi and Imran Khan PM Pakistan and third – to issue Bhagat Singh’s commemorative stamps and coin, naming the road in Pakistan and making a part of school curricula of martyrs history.
Added here, Qureshi who himself is an advocate by professing is fighting for renaming Shadman Chowk as Bhagat Singh Chowk and proving innocence of Bhagat Singh and his associates in the court of law.
