Jalandhar, October 25:
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya – The Heritage and Autonomous Institution are well known for academic innovation for the holistic development of its students. The Department of Psychology has developed innovative models of psychological concepts with an objective to enhance easy understanding of difficult concepts among the students. These models give a comprehensive view of psychology in the form of display boards in the college library. Another objective of these models is to make students aware about the origin, goals and various applications of psychology.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi inaugurated psychology display wall and motivated the students to take care of their mental health as well as physical health. She added that the students must learn the techniques to handle such psychological issues like depression, addiction, stress and anger management.
She further added that ”we are living in a competitive world, where we must learn to relive our mind, body, and soul”. She also encouraged the students to learn music therapy, art therapy, meditation, and yoga to reduce the stress from daily life. At the end, she congratulated the department of psychology for implementing this innovative idea to enhance clear understanding of difficult concepts to its students.
