India will lead world on front of Women Empowerment in coming few years- V.P.Singh Badnore

 Exhorts girls to work tirelessly to achieve their goals

 Conferred degrees during 86th Convocation of H.M.V College

Jalandhar, July 15 : In recent years India has moved forward in front of Women

Empowerment on such a pace that no other country in the world matches

its steps, said Punjab Governor V.P Singh Badnore referencing the

tremendous progress the Indian nation made in spheres of Women

education.

          Addressing the students after conferring degrees to as many

as 1129 students of Graduation, Post Graduation level and honouring

researchers during 86th annual convocation of Hans Raj Mahila

Vidyalaya, here today, Mr. Badnore said that without an iota of doubt

India will be leading country in the world in Women Empowerment in the

coming few years on the basis of marvelous contribution of Indian

Women and young girls made in the fields of science, sports,

administration, business, security services on world level.

          Recalling that it were women who worked indefatigably to

rebuild socially and economically many countries particularly in

European continent after facing devastation of Second World War,

Badnore exhorted the girls to work hard to achieve their goals as

their efforts would further strengthen the society in sync with dreams

of our great leaders, educationists, Philosophers.

The Punjab Governor said that learning was a continuous process and

education was the most potent tool that could empower our huge human

capital to be a major constructive force to propel inclusive growth of

the nation as a whole. So, he said that those who have amassed the

treasure of education must steer the path of development and progress

for country. The Governor further called on the youth to engage their

minds in a process of lifelong learning and apply that mass of

gathered knowledge in strengthening of the poor and the marginalized

sections of society. He also lauded the contribution made by H.M.V

Colleges in promoting education.

Describing the students as the stewards of the nation and custodian of

rich tradition of antiquity with modernization, Badnore said that

he was confident that all of them would strive hard not only to

achieve their individual goals but also contribute to the faster

development of our country.

The Punjab Governor further said that today marks an important day in

the lives of students as it was significant milestone in their life’s

journey. He said that it was a moment of pride for them as much as it

was for their teachers, parents and those who had played a prominent

role in shaping their lives so far.  Badnore also released H.M.V

College Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen presented the report pertaining to

the achievements of the institute in fields of academics, sports,

research and other activities.
