HAMIRPUR (HP–) In a bid to expand the footprints of BJP in the state, the BJP senior leaders has appointed Prof Bikram Rana as district senior vice-president BJP. It is stated by the district President Mr Baldev Sharma in a press release.
Prof Rana has recently retired from the active Haryana government service. He had a very successful and adventurous stint of 18 years with the Chandigarh Administration as SLO, Chandigarh NSS Cell and Officer on Special Duty (Education). With his innovative ideas had brought him laurels from all walks of life. During his stint the Chandigarh NSS Cell became one of best cell across the country.
Mr Sharma said that joining of BJP by educated and experienced people like Prof Rana would definitely strengthen the party in the state further.
Prof Rana thanks former chief minister Prof Prem Kumar Dhumal and senior BJP officials for his elevation to the post of senior vice-president.
Prof Rana himself belongs to a small village in Bamsan assembly constituency of district Hamirpur.
