Chandigarh, January 3, 2021: Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association have strongly protested the non-resumption of physical hearing in the High Court.
The pandemic has subsided to great extent, every sector of the economy has been opened, however, the physical hearing of the Court is closed since 21.03.2020, causing great hardship to the citizens, lawyers, stenos, Clerks, apart from denial of justice which is core to the constitutional democracy.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association President GBS Dhillon and Honorary Secretary Chanchal K Singla disclosed that the association will hold a hunger strike on January 4, 2021, from 10 AM to 4 PM. More than 250 Advocates have volunteered for hunger strike and more than 100 members of the High Court ClerkтАЩs Bar Association and all the staff members of Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association would also observe hunger strike on 04.01.2021 to support the demand for resumption of physical hearing in the HonтАЩble High Court.
