GNDU Human Resource Development Centre startes Faculty Induction Programme

Amritsar January 29, 2021: Human Resource Development Centre of the Guru Nank Dev University started third online Faculty Induction Programme (FIP). As many as  45 faculty members from different parts of the country participated.

Prof Hardeep Singh, Dean Student’s welfare, inaugurated the programme. In his inaugural address, Prof Singh deliberated that such programmes are very important for faculty since they help in nurturing various values of professional development and leadership qualities among young teachers and help them in enhancing their professional outlook. He noted that it takes a lot of hard work and effort to put up such courses and our dynamic Vice-Chancellor is making all efforts to get the best resource persons from premium institutions in the country.

The first academic session on an inaugural day was delivered by Controller of Examinations Prof Manoj Kumar, who enlightened the participants on Credit Based Evaluation System taking the example of GNDU model and explained the various nuances of this system at length. The day concluded with a very elaborative deliberation on the leadership skills by Dean Academic Affairs Prof. S S Behl. Prof Behl discussed the vision and adroitness that a leader should have, bottlenecks that arise and most importantly, how to overcome the hurdles in work.

Earlier Prof. AdarshpalVig, Director, HRDC introduced HRDC, GNDU to the participants and Deputy-Director Dr Rajbir Bhatti, welcomed all the distinguished speakers and participants. This programme will be concluded on 24 Feb 2021.
