CHANDIGARH–Post Graduate Government College (PGGC), Sector 11 Chandigarh in collaboration with Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (RCED) and Tech Mahindra Foundation’s SMART-T Centre, Mohali organized an Online Webinar on Entrepreneurship as a Career Opportunity for the students of PGGC-11 here on Friday.
Paramjit Singh- Director RCED, took the session. The session gained a fantastic and outstanding response from the trainees. More than 250 students registered for the program by filling up the form on https://rcedindia.com/.
Prof.(Dr.) Rama Arora (Principal), PGGC-11 appreciated the inputs delivered during the webinar. Renu Arora (HOD), Dr. Tanuja Talwar (Convenor), Anupreet Kaur (Co-Convenor) from PGGC- 11 coordinated the program. Jaspreet Kaur and Payal Sharma from RCED took care of all the end to end process in organizing the webinar.
Through the session, guidance on entrepreneurship was given which majorly covered all the necessary topics like Need for Entrepreneurship, Charms in becoming Entrepreneur, Opportunity identification and viable projects for first-generation Entrepreneurs. Also addressed were the measures involved in setting up MSME and the schemes for supporting MSME from various departments and banks.
The objective of organizing the Entrepreneurship Development Program was to inspire students sitting at home, to train themselves meaningfully for future difficulties. The program is designed to encourage and guide the students in starting up their own venture. Through this difficult time, the mechanism was definitely disrupted and this acted as a therapeutic device in the fight against depression.
The main purpose of this program was to lead the course for students who want to become an entrepreneur or who want to set up their own firms but have little specialized skills. All End to End inputs from the project definition, Selection to effectively operate the projects were received during preparation.
