Chandigarh ( By YS.Rana): Dr. Amedkar Institute of Hotel Management, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism Govt of India, celebrated a sensitization and cultural program under the aegis of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” in the institute premises.
As per the scheme every State and Union Territory in the country is paired with another State/UT for a year, during which they would carry out a structured engagement with one another in the spheres of language, literature, cuisine, festivals, cultural events, tourism, etc.
This pattern of cultural adoption of the partner State/UT is followed by all States and UTs. The partner state for Chandigarh is “Dadra & Nagar Haveli” and the event was organized to sentient the invitees about this union territory and popularize the diverse culture of the country. The effort was made to unleash the unexplored tourism potential of the country and to promote domestic tourism.
Filled with Warli paintings and wondrous models, the premises of Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management resonate with the hilly terrain of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The exquisite entrance was replicated by the students in the form of a magnificent structural creation.
The famous Swami Narayan Mandir, the Dudhni Lake and the Vasona Land Park were also replicated into smaller miniatures. The evening commenced with a laudable note, showcasing exemplary Garba, Lavni and Tadpa dance performances which made the audience entangled in the tunes of the music. Mind-bending quizzes and soulful poetries, kept the audience hooked to their seats.
