District Legal Services Authority, Jalandhar organised a District Level Legal aid Camp at Layallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar

Jalandhar, October 27: As per the directions of National Legal Services Authority and Punjab State Legal Services Authority, the District Legal Services Authority, Jalandhar organised a District Level Legal aid Camp at Layallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar today. It was presided over by Madam Rupinderjit Chahal, District & Sessions Judge-cum-chairman DLSA Jalandhar.  On the occasion Sh. Manjinder Singh Ld. Adll. District & Sessions Judge, Dr. Gagandeep Kaur Secretary DLSA and Sh. Amit Kumar Garg CJM Jalandhar. 15 stalls of  various departments of Jalandhar like District Social Security Officer, District Re Cross, District Welfare Officer, Health Department, Employment Office, Assistant Labour Commissioenr Office, Food Supply Controller, Hortyculture, Sakhi One Stop Centre, District Child Protection Officer, Education Department as well as of District Legal Services Authority Jalandhar were established in the Camp, in which Smart Ration Card, Pensions Benefit to Children, Employment letters to youth, Sarbat Bima Yojna Card, Wheel Chair to handicapped persons, Sewing machines to women were provided to the needy at the spot. A vaccination camp was also organized with the help of  Health Department, Jalandhar.  A help desk for providing Legal Services to the needy litigants was also established in which legal services were provided to 20 persons whose cases are pending or are to be filed in the Competent Court Of Law.
Speaking on the occasion  Madam Rupinderjit Chahal, District & Sessions Judge-cum-chairman DLSA Jalandhar stated that  Pan India Awareness and Outreach Programme under the umbrella of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav has been launched  from 02.10.2021 to 14.11.2021. The DLSA Jalandhar organizing awareness camps in all the 890 villages of Jalandhar district by deputing teams of advocates, PLVs, Law Students, Anganwari Workers, Aasha Workers.  Awareness is also being created in educational institutions of Jalandhar.
On the occasion Dr. G.S. Samra, Principal Layallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar welcomed the dignitaries and also thanked the DLSA Jalandhar for organization of Legal Aid Camp at Layallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. Dr. Gagandeep Kaur Convenor Grievances Cell of College, Dr. Surinder Mand, Dean Student Welfare of College, Sh. Dilbagh Singh DSP and Sh.  Balwinder Iqbal Singh Kahlon, ACP  were also present on the occasion.
