Expert lecture organized in CUH on the occasion of Hindi Diwas
Mahendragarh, September 14, 2020:‘Using Hindi in National Behavior is necessary for the unity and integrity of the Nation’- with these words of Mahatma Gandhi, the Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh Prof. R.C. Kuhad started his address for the Expert Lecture organized on the occasion of Hindi Diwas. The Vice-Chancellor called this event an important step taken by the University towards the promotion of Hindi. Besides he also referred to the efforts made by the Minister of Education Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ for the promotion of Hindi and specified them important for the development of Hindi. Former Professor Rajendra Gautam from the University of Delhi and Former Professor Amarnath Sharma from Calcutta University were present as Expert Speakers in this virtual program.
Organized on the topic ‘Modern India and Hindi’, in this special lecture Prof. R.C. Kuhad, Vice-Chancellor of the University, firstly read the message of Minister of Education Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ amongst the Experts and participants. In this address, it was specified that today’s age is the age of technology. We should make every possible effort in using technology for Hindi Promotion. In addition to language-efficiency, we also need to be technologically capable. This will enhance our work capacity. Honorable Prime Minister in World Hindi Conference gave special emphasis to the use of technology in Hindi promotion.
On this auspicious occasion of Hindi Diwas, the Minister of Education through his message read a pledge to maximum use of Hindi in Government official works. As soon as the Minister of Education Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ resumed his office, he motivated all the officials, Vice-Chancellors, Directors, Educationists and Employees to use the Hindi Language. Prof. Kuhad also made a special reference to the words of our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, ‘Simplicity, spontaneity and decency of a Language provide significance to expression; Hindi has beautifully amalgamated all these features’.
In the end, the Vice-Chancellor said, ‘I express my heartfelt gratitude to the Minister of Education for sending his message and appealed to the usage and promotion of Hindi.’
In his address, the Vice-Chancellor of the University said, ‘Great achievements are not made easily in life, hard work needs to be done for them. Several examples like Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Abraham Lincoln and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are available amongst us who achieved paramount of success through hard work.’ The Vice-Chancellor gave his best wishes for Hindi Diwas to the special speakers and the participants on this occasion.
In the event, the Expert Speaker Prof. Amarnath Sharma threw light on various aspects of Hindi and added how Hindi is progressing towards modernity. He laid emphasis on scientific outlook towards Language development and asked to take special steps towards it.
Similarly, Prof. Rajender Gautam threw light on the historical aspect and drew special attention towards the importance of the Hindi Language in India. He deliberated in detail on the Language importance given in New National Education Policy and made the participants aware of its various aspects. The Welcome Address of the program was given by the Coordinator of ‘Hindi Diwas Aayojan Samiti’ and Swami Dayanand Saraswati Chair Professor Ranvir Singh while the vote of thanks was given by Dr. Renu Yadav.
The Registrar of the University Dr. J P Bhukar, Deans of various Schools, Heads of the Departments, teachers, Non-teaching Staff, students, researchers and participants from various institutions marked their presence in this program.
