‘B’ Zone Zonal Youth Festival concluded

Amritsar, October 24, 2017:  The Zonal Youth Festival of ‘B’ Zone of Guru Nanak Dev University concluded here today in the Dasmesh Auditorium of the University. The affiliated colleges of Pathankot, Gurdaspur and Tarn Taran districts participated in this festival. Around 800 Student-artists from 20 Colleges participated in 34 items of Music, Theatre, Dance, Literary & Fine Arts.

                Amrik Singh Puar, DCP presided over the valedictory function and Mrs. Jagir Kaur, Advisor, Nari Chetna Manch, Amritsar was the guest of honor. Dr. Jagjit Kaur, Director, Youth Welfare welcomed the chief guest and other guests. She gave details of the achievements of Youth Welfare Department.

THIRD:           S.S. M. College, Dina Nagar

CHAMPION:           S.G.A.D. College, Khadoor Sahib

RUNNERS-UP:         Guru Arjun Dev Khalsa College, Chohla Sahib

THIRD:           Smt. Rama Chopra SD Kanya Maha Vid., Pathankot

While congratulating the student’s artists Sh. Amrik Singh Puar said that the youth festival provides a platform to the youth to explore the hidden talent among them.  He also congratulated Dr. Jagjit Kaur, Director Youth Welfare for successfully organizing this youth festival.

The Guests gave away trophies to the winners and Dr. Jagjit Kaur honored the Chief Guest & the Guest of Honor with mementos.
