Chandigarh, April 28, 2020: In a statement issued here, Sanjeev Kaushal, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare and Cooperation Department stated that 4.12 Lakh Metric Tonnes of Wheat was procured from 48,607 farmers in the Procurement Centres of Haryana. With this, the progressive total of 30.67 Lakh Metric Tonnes of wheat has been procured from 3,54,097 farmers in the State in the last nine days.
He also added that today 24,091.68 Metric Tonnes of Mustard was procured from 8891 farmers in the 163 Procurement Centres of the State and a progressive total of 2.98 Lakh Metric Tonnes of mustard has been procured from 1,09,775 farmers.
